DON SIMKIN HONORED
On 10/5/19, Don Simkin was inducted into the 23rd Annual Buffalo Veterans Boxers Association, Ring 44 Hall of Fame being awarded the Ed Cudney Award. In making the award, it was stated: “When one thinks back on amateur boxing in WNY, the first name to come to mind is Don Simkin…the man who keeps young boxers active and safe.”
On 10/12/19, Don Simkin was inducted into the Rochester Boxing Hall of Fame being awarded the 2019 Outstanding Coach Award for “leading Rochester St. Martin Boxing Club, Inc.’s program giving at-risk and financially disadvantaged youth of the City of Rochester an opportunity to participate in his boxing program.”
